Park Forest Christian Church started with a meeting on October 2, 1966 at Blackhawk Elementary School in Park Forest, Il. In 1971 the first building was completed and the church moved to Park Forest South and not long after changed the name to Park Forest Christian Church. When the village changed the name to University Park, the church name was changed to Deer Creek. In 2013 the church location was sold and relocated worship services to Rich South High School auditorium and offices to Monee, IL. The name was then changed to Living Creek Christian Church to represent being named, not after a geographic area, but rather by lives which are living out their faith everyday.
