I grew up in the suburbs on the Eastside of Indianapolis. When I was 7 years old a young growing church in our community reached out to my family. My parents made real commitments to the Lord and their lives were transformed. My family’s future was changed forever.
Upon graduation from High School I attended Kentucky Christian University. At my first breakfast there I met my wife Marita. She is a second grade school teacher in Chicago Heights and is involved in the worship team at Living Creek.
While in college I wrestled with being called to Pastoral ministry. Since my Junior year I have been preaching most weekends at churches I have served in Kentucky, Oklahoma, Indiana, and now in Illinois the last 18 years with Living Creek. During my first full-time ministry in Kentucky I completed my Master’s degree.
Marita and I have three grown children: Ryan, Caesar and Crystal. We became a blended family through the adventure of adoption while working with church planting in Oklahoma. We currently have 2 grandchildren: Paisley and Kaden.
To strike balance in life’s demands, I enjoy sailing and adventure cycling. Over a period of 15 total days, on three different vacations taken in a period of 5 years, I biked from Chicago to the Chesapeake Bay.
Living Creek’s current relocation plans represent the 4th building program I have been involved in as a Pastor. It is an exciting time for any church. It redefines and renews a congregation in significant ways. I invite you to join us on this journey. My favorite verse of the Bible is Proverbs 27:17, “As Iron sharpens iron, one man sharpens another.”
