Living Creek began in 1966, meeting at the Blackhawk Elementary School, in Park Forest. Over the years the church grew to become a regional influence with people attending from all over the south-suburbs of Chicago, while the church was meeting at its campus in University Park.
The reputation of Living Creek has been called, “the simple church where differences stop at the door.” There is a growing diversity among our members from different economic levels, education levels, and cultural backgrounds. We believe that God has uniquely positioned the church to reach and reflect the community around us.
Families have always mattered at Living Creek. Real families face real challenges. We desire to be a place where families can be strengthened to overcome the challenges of life. Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world.”
Regardless, if your family is large or a family of one, we welcome you with open arms at Living Creek where you can grow stronger with our family, and help us strengthen others.
